Well phase two is here and as a service I am able to shoot again. YAY! However it is, and looks so much different than before. I had my first shoot back last weekend and I had to stop myself so many times. I am used to a good handshake or hug at the beginning of a session, being able to get all in your biz and fix a shirt or place a piece of hair. I can only tell you to do it now. So with all this uncertainty, I wanted to let you know what I will be doing, hoping it will put you at ease about your next session.
Family Sessions
For all my sessions I will fully sanitize all of my equipment, wash my hands before I leave the house and hand sanitizer once I get to our location. Fortunately, most of my family sessions are outdoors which reduces the risk of exposure and gives me enough room to move around while still maintaining 6ft apart. I will be using a zoom lens that will allow me to keep this distance, I am used to walking up and fixing what needs fixing, moving a hand etc, this is another thing that has changed, so expect me to try and verbally explain how I will want you to be.
Newborn Sessions
For newborn sessions I will wear my mask, wash hands before I leave the house, wash my hands once I get to your house and sanitize through out the session. All my equipment will be sanitized before leaving my home. Whether we do your session in your home, or outside will be up to you and your comfort level. I will ask you to move and handle your baby, including swaddling and dressing your baby. Keeping your family and you newest member safe is at the top of my list, with lifestyle type newborn sessions, we do not have to do it in the first few days, we can wait a few months and it still works! Your gallery will still be beautiful!!
Fresh 48
I don't have much say in Fresh 48 sessions. Hospitals and birthing centers have their visitor restrictions, and I will follow whatever protocol there is. Please see my blog post on how to take better photos of your family, you can get some great tips in there that you can use in the hospital to take your own photos of your baby.
Let's Communicate
Communication is key. I will keep you informed about my health and the health of my family. If you are experiencing fever, cough, stomach bug, or generally not feeling well, please contact me to reschedule. I am really flexible, and everyone being safe is my main priority so I will do best to make another time work. I have developed an online contract so there is no contact needed for our session. Also, I will only be accepting email money transfers, and PayPal payments at this time. These terms can and will change with information that is put out by the Saskatchewan government.
I am excited to start shooting again! I hope to see you soon.
