Session Info

You are growing a little human, lets honor and celebrate that!  Maternity sessions are all about celebrating you and that your family is expanding!  This will include all of your family members, with some of just Mom and her growing belly.  We can do your maternity shoot in your home or outside, we can discuss which one suits you and your family best.  I usually say to take photos anytime after 36 weeks, but I want you to feel comfortable, so if you have any concerns please let me know.  Being pregnant feels like forever, but in reality it's only 9 months.  You will cherish your baby bump photos and see just how amazing you are.

Newborn sessions are done in your home, in your living room, nursery, master bedroom etc. This is the best way to capture your new little family in your home, how you swaddle them up just right, how they grab your finger with their tiny little hands, and how they fit just nicely cradled in your arms.  I want you to feel at ease in your shoot, heck you've just had a baby, I do not want you to worry about moving things around or cleaning, I will move things around as needed.  I want the best for you and your new family, I allow enough time for feeding and changing breaks, so please do not worry if they are fussy.  We have the time to soothe and cuddle your wee one so they feel comfortable and safe.  That is what I ultimately want.

My main goal is to capture your family just as you are now, in the stage you are at.  I have a go with the flow attitude towards family shoots, meaning if your little one doesn't want his picture taken on that rock then I won't force it and move on.  I include movement in my sessions, this means you can expect to walk, hug. cuddle, have a tickle fight and maybe even bust out some epic dance moves!! This keeps children engaged through the shoot, and anyone else that may be reluctant for photos as well.  I do include the traditional looking at the camera photos, but my goal is to capture your family moments showing connection.  I want your photos to really show your uniqueness so if you have a place that has significance to you, I would love to take you there for your shoot.  Family sessions can also be done in your home, this is a place where you spend the most of your time with your best people.  This usually puts kids at ease and pets too.  If you have a pet in your home or would like to include them in your family shoot please let me know!!
